The system provides a standard message format to/from a commercial EDI translator which provides the capability for all message types (e.g. EDIFACT, ANSI X12, proprietary). EDI messages can be imported and exported to automate the exchange of information. In addition, the TOPS system has the ability to do event management. This means that event notification activities can be scheduled based on the occurrence of an event.
