Truck gate management3.2 Truck Gate Management

The Gate/Truck operation is totally integrated in TopS performed both in the foundation and graphical systems. Trucks are processed at the gate for receival, delivery and transit containers.

Trucks visits may be scheduled by truck bookings or they may be random. Receival of full container may be pre-advised by bookings and containers may be delivered based on Release Orders. Receival containers are assigned yard locations based on the Allocation Filter and matching container attributes. All truck processing at the gate, in the yard and at the outgate is times tamped. Various screens display trucks currently in the yard, historical and statistical details of truck visits.

Functions:

Truck gate management
  • Records the master list of all trucks processed at terminal
  • Set up liner instructions for receiving empty containers
  • Ingate arriving trucks and record receival, delivery and transit containers
  • Facility to receive containers by Booking number, truck announcement or as random receivals
  • Facility to deliver containers by Release Order, truck announcement or as random delivery
  • Inquiry screen to view all trucks currently in the yard
  • View statistics of trucks processed for a period of time
  • Outgate trucks
  • Process imports received by truck
  • Process exports delivered by truck
  • Process trans-shipment containers received or delivered by truck
  • Emergency functions to emulate the Equipment Control Hand Held device processes at the Ingate and Outgate
